Sam Law founded Sam Law Financial, LLC in 1998 after his family sold their plumbing/HVAC supply business. With his experience as a business owner, he began to serve clients in the Lubbock, Amarillo, and Midland/Odessa areas. In the 20 years since, he has expanded to cover the entire state of Texas and into New Mexico. Sam loves to travel and meet new people – he built his business around this love. He specializes in individual financial planning and 401(k)s for small businesses.
Sam earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University in 1984. That same year he married his wife, Julie. They have three children, Ben, Kay, and Wes.
Susan E. Miller, SHRM-CP
Joining Sam Law Financial in 2016, Susan brought over 15 years of experience in human resources, including nine years in the staffing industry and six years in corporate human resources specializing in benefits. Over the course of her career, she has obtained the certifications of Certified Personnel Consultant and Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist from the National Association of Personnel Services, as well as the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Society of Human Resource Management. She maintains the SHRM-CP certification and is an active member of the Lubbock SHRM Chapter. As the Office Administrator for Sam Law Financial, Susan focuses on planning, paperwork, and responding to client requests.
Susan earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Texas Tech University in 1994. She married her husband in 1995, and they have one child, Taylor.
When you work with Sam Law Financial, LLC, you’re likely to communicate with Marissa Lawrence. She’s part of a team of service specialists provided through a partnership with our broker/dealer, Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. Marissa and other members of the administrative team specialize in opening new accounts, account transfers, cashiering items, processing paperwork, and service requests.
She attended Indian Hills Community College for Administrative Assistance and completed the Cambridge Customer Service Excellence series. In her free time, Marissa enjoys playing board games with her daughter and taking her to gymnastics. She also enjoys reading and watching documentaries.
